CHILDREN’S CHOIR

Holy Child Children’s Choir (Grades 4 – 8) is established to develop in its members a greater appreciation for, and contribution to, the liturgy of the Church.   In addition, it fosters ideals that include discipline, dedication to both short- and long-term goals, respect for peers and teachers, self-respect, the ability to work within a group towards a common goal, and recognition of the value of hard work to achieve what is truly fine. These qualities will enrich the lives of the students and their communities as they reach adulthood and carve out their places in the world.

The children have the opportunity to sing at school liturgies and some other school functions and special occasions in the respective parishes. In addition to a Spring Concert, they have provided music for area nursing homes and were involved in the filming of a television commercial for the Office of Catholic Education. This year they are preparing to sing at a baseball game of the Camden Riversharks.

CHERUB CHOIR

The Cherub Choir includes students in Grades 1, 2, and 3. The goals of this choir are:

            To experience the joy of making music;

            To lay the foundation for good musical practice;

            To instruct the children in group participation;

            To experience commitment to an end that can be accomplished only by consistency and perseverance.

In addition to weekly practice, the Cherub Choir sings at liturgy occasionally and participates in the Spring concert.
